Apploye at $4.50 per seat a month, billed annually. Elite is $6 per user a month on quarterly billing and $7 month to month. Power is $8 annual, $10.50 quarterly and $12 monthly, and Enterprise is custom. The paid tiers are mostly bought for what the free one limits: screenshot frequency, unlimited apps and URLs, more than three clients, and history beyond a month. Stunda Team is $4.49 per person a month, with no seat cap. At 5 people Apploye can simply be free, so this row is not an argument for us: the paid figure is what the same headcount costs once you need the tier that adds invoicing.

Their pricing scales how closely you are watched

Look at what actually changes between the tiers. Starter takes one screenshot an hour. Elite takes eighteen. Power takes sixty, which is one every minute of the working day. Screenshot frequency is not a side effect of the plan you buy, it is one of the headline things the plan buys, and that tells you precisely who the buyer is assumed to be: somebody who wants more evidence about somebody else. Stunda's screenshots are a single opt-in setting behind an operating system permission, identical on every plan, and off unless you turn them on. They are not a tier and they will not become one.

An activity ratio is a number somebody will use

Apploye publishes a productivity and activity ratio per member, derived from keyboard and mouse input. The reason Stunda has no equivalent is not that the number is hard to compute, it is that it is not good enough to bear the weight it inevitably gets. A designer thinking for twenty minutes scores badly. A person clearing an inbox scores well. Put that figure in a product and it eventually appears in a performance review, at which point people start performing input rather than doing work, and the data gets worse at the same moment the trust does. Stunda shows counts so you can tell an hour of work from an hour of an open window, and stops there.

One month of history is the free tier's real limit

The ten-user free plan is genuinely generous on headcount and quietly strict on time: one month of timesheet, attendance and payroll history, with activity visible for seven days. For a manager checking this week, that is fine. For anyone who has to reconstruct a project that started in spring, or answer a client querying an invoice from two quarters back, it is the thing that fails at exactly the wrong moment. Stunda keeps your full history on every plan including the free one, because on a tool you bill from, the record is the product.

Your time, inside the assistant you already use

Apploye publishes no AI features and no MCP server, so this is less a contrast than an absence. What that means practically: your tracked hours are reachable through their interface and reports, and not from the tools you already reason in. Stunda's AI points at your own day and answers to you, with a digest of where the hours went, plain-language questions resolved into typed lookups against your own rows, and a workload reading that declines to give you a number under about two weeks of history. The MCP server is the sharper difference: it is on every plan including Free, it runs strictly as you with a token you create and revoke, and it can log an entry as well as read one, so Claude, Cursor, Codex or VS Code can answer questions about your week without anything being exported anywhere.

How the AI layer is built

On price, Apploye wins, and it is not close

A free tier that covers ten people is the most generous on this site, larger than Clockify's five, and it is not a trial. Its cheapest paid rate is within a cent of ours per seat while including payroll, attendance, leaves, schedules and project budgeting that Stunda does not have at any price. It invoices clients from tracked hours, so the export step this site complains about elsewhere is not a complaint we can make here. And it runs on Linux, iOS, Android and in Chrome, where we ship macOS and Windows. If your team is ten or fewer and you need any of that, the honest recommendation is Apploye, and no amount of feature comparison changes the arithmetic.

Moving over from Apploye

Nothing here is a migration project. The honest version is that tracking starts fresh and your history comes across as a file.

Export your history from Apploye as CSV and keep it. It is your record of what you already billed, and it does not need to live in Stunda for that to be true.
Install Stunda and let it run for a week alongside Apploye. The two do not conflict, and a week is long enough to see whether the sessions it records match what you would have typed in. Apploye's free plan covers ten, so you can leave both running side by side for as long as you want to before deciding anything.
Re-create your active projects and rates, which for most people is a handful of rows. Historical entries can be posted through the API or logged by an assistant through MCP if you want them in one place.
Invoice from Stunda once before you cancel anything. If the number it produces matches the number you would have sent, the switch is done.

Can Apploye invoice clients?

Does Stunda have an activity or productivity score?

No, deliberately. Stunda records keystroke and click counts so you can distinguish an hour of work from an hour of an open window, and it does not compress them into a rating. A per-person productivity percentage is not accurate enough to carry the decisions it ends up carrying, and building one changes how people work in ways that make the data worse.

Does Stunda run on Linux, iOS or Android?

Not today. The desktop app is macOS and Windows, and the web dashboard runs in any browser for reviewing sessions, adding manual entries and sending invoices. Apploye ships Linux, iOS, Android and a Chrome extension, so if you need tracking on any of those it is the one that has it.

When is Apploye the better choice?

When you are managing staff rather than billing clients. If you need payroll, attendance, leaves and schedules in the same product, or a free plan that covers a team of up to ten, Apploye covers ground Stunda does not and costs less doing it.
